The official listing for Build, Paint and Play! (40889) confirms that the winning entry in the LEGO® Ideas Build Your Hobby competition has become a set for adults.
It depicts a miniature model-making desk: a cutting tool, sprue, glue, paint and brush are recreated in bricks alongside an astronaut. The appeal is the model within a model, putting the building hobby itself on display.
Confirmed promotional terms for Italy
From 28 October to 8 November 2026, the set is a gift with qualifying purchases of at least €130 in LEGO® merchandise, while stocks last. The offer applies online at LEGO®.com, in LEGO® Stores and to catalogue telephone orders; Certified Stores and LEGOLAND® attractions are excluded.
One gift is allowed per household, and previous purchases do not qualify. If the qualifying purchase is returned, the gift must also be returned.
A separate Star Wars™ gift
During the same period, the TIE Advanced™ Mini-Build 30727 is offered with at least €40 in Star Wars™ merchandise online, while stocks last. These are separate qualifying conditions: check the gifts actually shown in your basket before ordering.
